The stone city of Gjirokaster is well known for its incredible Ottoman architecture and spectacular castle. This is possibly one of the best day trips from Saranda. To get to Gjirokaster, you can take the same bus from Saranda that goes to the Blue Eye. The journey will take between an hour and an hour and a half.
